Post Lumo rims.
Just though I would post up quick pics of the rims we had done the the Sponsored neotel Nissans we had. The Nissans here http://www.oneten.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15479

Anyways we were also board with your everyday chrome rims so we decided to go lumo yellow. I have to say the Takumis Urban Racer Lan Evo X showed us how good it looks.

Here is what the rim looked like once I had stripped all the old paint and chrome off. These rims used to be all chrome....then I painted the spokes gold. I don't have a picture of what it looked like before though. I used plastic primer on them first.

Here is what they look like with the lumo yellow without any backing. They look a lot better with the backing as in the following pics and on the car. The camera does not do it justice though.

Here is the same rim but with silver backing rocking my Hipari tyre. These tyres fit so lekka under the arches with the proper off-set it's just pure sex. The silver backing did not sit well with us so we went with a white backing.

In the future I may just put an additional clear coat on
and see if it's work the effort because let's face it...all paint on rims will chip eventually....even the chrome chips.
This is the final product.

Between Cisco and Myself we have so more rims which we are going to re-spray. I am getting various colors of paint in the week and then I am doe with rattle cans and will rock the airbrush.

Good old oven cleaner does a good job of pulling off the chrome. Plastic automotive primer that I have left from when I sprayed my car...no clear coat on these but I may do it with the next sets.
